Low-cost airline WOW air has announced flights to India from its Icelandic hub. From 6th December 2018, passengers for travel to Delhi can fly from London Gatwick with a stop-over in Iceland before the 10-hour onward journey to Delhi.

The route is the first step in the carrier’s next phase of cross-continental expansion, having launched a plethora of transatlantic services over the past three years. While UK travellers using the service will initially travel west, the airline expects its competitive fares to still entice those looking to keep their costs down.

WOW air flights from London to Delhi fares start from £149* one way including taxes, or for passengers looking for a more high-end experience WOW premium** prices start from just £499 one-way including taxes.

Serviced by the airline’s brand new A330neo wide-body jetliner, the new route to Delhi will operate three times per week from Iceland, increasing to five times per week from January 2019. Flights from London Gatwick to Reykjavik operate twice daily.
