Matt Fitzpatrick clearly knows how to pick a winner when it comes to choosing the right sponsor. After all, golf is a walking sport and you’ll never be able to play well if your feet are uncomfortable. Just as well then he’s championing Skechers latest golf shoe for 2026, the Golf Blade Tour Slip Ins.  Now, I’m not saying his current good form is solely down to his new Skechers shoes, but, realistically, not having aching feet is one less thing for a top pro golfer to worry about.

So, if they’re good enough for Matt Fitzpatrick, how are they going to help my game? Well, I can promise you one thing, you’ll certainly be turning heads at the golf club if you walk out of the locker room wearing a pair of these Skechers Golf Blade Tour Slip Ins. They really look the part with some knockout decals, particularly if you pick the white / black / multi version which is so sharp you might need sunglasses to offset the glare. Fortunately, the other four colour options have the colour dialled down somewhat, but nevertheless still look spectacular.

Anyone who has read my previous Skechers Slip Ins reviews will know I have been raving about this technology since it was released. But for the uninitiated, Slip-Ins tech is essentially a built-in shoehorn that supports the heel area of the shoe as you slide your foot in, so you can press down and it won’t collapse. No hands needed, easy on and easy off. It is pure genius and works like a treat even with sportswear.

The new Golf Blade Tour Slip Ins have this tech obviously, but for their 2026 range Skechers have made some changes to last year’s model. The uppers are now made from Clarino Microfiber, a leather-like synthetic fabric which is totally waterproof and guaranteed for 12 months but feels just like soft leather. It’s also breathable and light keeping your feet cool in summer. They also now have tie up laces, which at first I thought, what’s the point, they are slip ins, they don’t need to be tied. But in truth, having a tie option does allow you to make some adjustments if needed so your shoes can really fit snugly.

I found my pre-tied shoes fit fine right out of the box, but just having the option of a small adjustment is no bad thing.

Then of course, all of the usual Skechers comfort and arch support tech is included.. There is the Heel Pillow which envelops around your heel keeping it in place – potentially no rubbing – their patented sports specific Resamax insole designed to bring a cushioned feel to your feet while walking, Eco Flight added cushioning that promises to use at least 10% recycled materials and of course the Arch Fit insole for secure support. The Hyper Burst Pro sock liner offers lightweight and resilient underfoot cushioning that provides a little extra spring to your steps.

Lastly, Skechers has ditched the gripflex outer sole system used in the previous Blade range for seven interchangeable Tour Flex Pro soft spikes which not only promise superior traction, but you can replace them when they get worn down.

So did my Matt Fitzpatrick endorsed Golf Blade Tour Slip Ins help my golf game? They felt soft as butter straight out of the box, fit like a glove, and, caused a bit of a stir in the locker room that’s for sure. Out on the course they were immensely comfy as I’ve come to expect with all Skechers shoes, the traction felt good, and after 18 holes, my feet still felt really comfortable.

Funnily enough, I have started playing really well too, so perhaps they have a few Matt Fitzpatrick good round credits built into them too. Who knows.
