Christmas at Kenwood

Hampstead Heath, Bailey’s hot chocolate and Christmas… what’s not to love? At a risk of breaking out in full Julie Andrews… Christmas at Kenwood certainly ticks off quite a few.

Nestled within the beautiful Hampstead Heath and with the even more beautiful backdrop of Kenwood House, this year’s Kenwood at Christmas is back and its bigger and brighter than ever.

Making your way across the well-trodden footpaths of this English Heritage jewel, the experience takes your regular ramble to a whole new level. Interactive light launchers and a Retro Rubix are just two of the new art installations on display this year alongside highlights such as the Son et Lumière projected on the iconic 17th century stately home.

My favourite thing (apart from the aforementioned) was the beautiful illuminating bulbs set high in the trees on the main thoroughfare which includes an interactive button, allowing you to change the rhythm and colour of the display at a simple touch – much to the ooohs and ahhhs from passers-by.

The hills really are alive thanks to this Christmas at Kenwood spectacle. Wrap up warm, grab your family and head on down to Hampstead Heath..
