The Phuket beach club scene has risen across the West Coast of Phuket and the area is starting to get known as ‘Thailand’s Ibiza’.
One of the biggest beach clubs is XANA set on the beautiful, wide Bangtao beach, has a 35 metre pool lit up at night, private cabanas and has seen many of the biggest DJs playing – most recently Paul Oakenfold.
Nearby is Bliss, the wooden-decked Italian influenced beach club and further up the road is Catch, the well established beach club on Surin beach, which neighbours its newest addition to beach club scene – Diamond. Over the next few months, three more clubs are due to open – Zazadas, BiMis and Niki Beach which is scheduled to be opened later this year.
A close cousin of the renowned Singapore club Attica, XANA beach club was launched in Laguna Beach Resort in 2012. It is an entertainment led venue that offers a lot more than just beautiful surroundings, delicious food and perfectly mixed drinks.
With a picture-perfect backdrop by the sea, beach loungers, poolside day beds and VIP cabanas that accommodate up to 14 people, XANA also lends itself perfectly for events of all kinds from private gatherings to launches and weddings – anywhere from 10 to a 1,000+ people with the added benefit of onside accommodation with the Angsana Laguna Phuket hotel.
