I was looking forward to a gentle bike ride along the Colorado River when Kevin threw a full suit of body armour at me and pointed upwards. “we’re going up there,  to the top of Snowmass Mountain and biking down.”  I  clench everything at that point to keep my modesty. Summer in Aspen

I convinced myself it was a combination of altitude and jet lag when half way up the Aspen’s Ute Trail I was passed by a granny in shorts and a crop top talking on her phone. “Excuse me young man”  she said as she passed me at the speed of light. This is Summer in Aspen in a nutshell; fit, outdoor people swapping their skis for shorts and sun tan oil and lovin’ life.

Atlanta has hit the headlines over the years on more than a few occasions. It was for example, the only city in the USA to be destroyed by fire thanks to General Sherman in the Civil War, (who can forget those scenes in Gone with the Wind)  it was where Coca-Cola was invented  (and is still made to this day) then it had the dubious honour of being host to the rebirth of the Klu Klux Klan in the early 1900s, and in the 1960s was the home of Martin Luther King Jr.  and the civil rights movement.
